OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Summit Research Laboratory (SRL) provides high quality services to schools, teachers, and parents to improve services for children at risk and those with disabilities. Service, excellence, and value are our goals-- simplicity, understanding, and inclusion are our way of doing business.
WHAT WE DO
Summit Research Laboratory (SRL) is a research and development group administered through the College of Education and Human Services at Utah State University. SRL's major focus is on the development of web-based database systems designed to help educators manage services for children with disabilities and those at-risk. In addition, SRL develops stand-alone data collection systems and provides a variety of evaluation services including, conducting focus groups, strategic planning, and collecting and analyzing data. SRL maintains a skilled and highly qualified staff with more than twenty years of experience in IDEA's continuous improvement compliance monitoring and system development. Along with a network of knowledgeable associates, and a history of service to the educational community, we are well positioned to provide these services in the United States and abroad. (more)

WHO ARE WE?
M argaret Lubke holds a Ph.D. in special education school administration and instructional technology. She also holds a Professional Educator License for the State of Utah with emphasis in K-12 Administrative/Superivsory and Special Education along with endorsements in Mild/Moderate and Severe disabilities. She also holds a lifetime K-12 special education teaching license in Wisconsin. Dr. Lubke has a deep knowledge of the legal requirements in special education and vast experience in coordinating compliance monitoring activities in three states and for the BIA.
SRL staff form a winning combination with a solid knowledge of the legal requirements in special education and compliance monitoring, exemplary data-based design skills and top-notch web system administration.
R.Brad Althouse has a B.S. in secondary education and a M.S. in computer science. In his twenty-two years at USU, Brad has developed and maintained several expert systems and many stand-alone and web-based educational data-based systems. Brad has a vast knowlege in data system analysis and development skills, along with a focus on reports and using data to make educational decisions.
Brad's past successes and achievements include: winning several grant competitions and starting and running an educational software business.
Keith Paskett has a B.S. degree in engineering and computer science. Before he began his work as the Web System Administrator and Application Developer for SRL, eight years ago, Keith developed innovative software and hardware systems to simplify the calibration of infrared optical sensors at USU's Space Dynamics Laboratory.
